Can you see anything on this picture below?
Anyway, look at it.(Squint if necessary.) Blow it up. Ponder it.

Some ideas for urls:
seengodlately.com : This is a popular one, but we don't want to drive anyone away who's averse to seeing "God" in anything.
HoleInYourHeart.com : this one was well received, and would work well demographic-wise..
FeelDifferent.com
DoYouMatter.com
One choice, HateChurch.com has been taken, but is for sale. Might be on the negative side, though.
(also, using ".org" might be more appropriate than the commercial ".com"

Of all of these, I like Hole in Your heart best. But I'm not sure it will be easily searched--so maybe we should think about "Broken" or "Empty" or "Searching"--something that the typcial person might google. Of course, we can also publicize the URL and drive people to it that way.
ReplyDeleteOne question Mark raised is that of demographics. Can we expect the anit-church groups, the non-believer, those fallen away from faith, those looking for a church, and those looking for a deeper spiritual experience (and other groups)--ALL to be drawn into the same site? We might need to consider what group we are most determined to reach. Any feedback?

ReplyDeleteGood point about non-believers. Maybe the name should be something with the word "searching" or "seeking," "desperately seeking faith" or something. I think hole in your heart says that, but we also have to follow searches to see where the different words take us.
